Parent Voices Shine at PIQE Family Tech Night
Posted 2025-05-23

CA-SFEC was proud to co-sponsor PIQE’s Family Tech Night, an inspiring event focused on digital access and family engagement. The event brought together parents and community partners to bridge the gap between home and school through digital advocacy and knowledge.

A highlight of the event was a panel featuring two parent leaders from CA-SFEC’s Parent Advisory Committee, Eulalia Dolores and Jorge Martinez. Both shared personal experiences navigating the K–12 system and the challenges they faced as parents seeking to be meaningfully involved in their children’s education.

Their stories reminded attendees that engagement is more than participation, it’s about partnership, leadership, and advocacy.

The evening also included hands-on tech sessions, where families learned how to access digital tools and school platforms to better support their children’s learning. Sessions were offered in both English and Spanish to ensure accessibility for all.

CA-SFEC remains committed to elevating parent voices and ensuring families have the tools and confidence to engage fully. We thank our partners at PIQE and parent leaders like Eulalia and Jorge, whose stories inspire and drive change in our education system.
