Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE) has been a champion for family engagement for over 30 years. Their commitment to social justice and educational equity is inspiring, as they work tirelessly to empower parents through workshops and school partnerships. By equipping families with the tools they need to support their children’s education, PIQE is transforming the way parents engage with schools. It’s not just about attending meetings—it’s about building a community where every parent feels confident and capable of advocating for their child’s success.
The CA-SFEC partnership with California Department of Education (CDE) will allow us to further inform family engagement efforts and identify opportunities to further enhance family engagement within the California education system. Additionally, the National Association for Family, School, and Community Engagement (NAFSCE) is the first organization of its kind, solely focused on advancing family, school, and community engagement. NAFSCE is all about making family engagement a universal practice in schools across the country. They’re a driving force behind new strategies and research that show how powerful family involvement can be in improving student outcomes. By collaborating with NAFSCE, we’re bringing innovative ideas and practices to California schools, helping to create a culture where family engagement isn’t just encouraged—it’s essential.

The CA Family and Community Engagement Initiative (CA FACE), an initiative of the Californians Dedicated to Education Foundation (CDEF), is all about empowering families and communities to be active participants in education. CA FACE’s focus on building supportive, inclusive environments for students and families is something we’re incredibly proud to be part of. They understand that every family has unique strengths and challenges, and they work to ensure that all voices are heard and valued in the educational process.
And then there’s the University of California, Irvine (UCI), a powerhouse in both education and research. UCI’s dedication to advancing educational initiatives and supporting student success through innovative programs and research is truly impressive. Their collaboration with us means that we can leverage the latest research and best practices to support families and educators in new and impactful ways.
